Impressions of the technical "Wiesn"
The 2009 KERN precision days were celebrated in the most traditional and famous time of the year: during the Munich Octoberfest. Whilst enjoying traditional Bavarian specialities one had the opportunity to talk shop about new machines and applications of which KERN had plentiful to offer. Who had the opportunity to take part in this event now knows: Bavarian lifestyle and high tech technology harmonise exquisitely.

New product: the KERN µ-view
At first glance they all look in good condition - but not every micro tool holds what it promises. Defect or worn tools cost time and money and delay your delivery dates. With the new KERN µ-view tools can be examined and identified with up to 450 fold magnification and sorted out before they are implemented in your production.
New module incorporates Milling and Grinding
Our new module "Jig Grinding" for the Pyramid Nano allows the combined manufacturing of hard milling and jig grinding in one set up. Applications are found in the manufacturing of stamping, punching and deep drawing die manufacturing as well as in the high precision cutting of brittle materials such as silicon carbide.
