µOpt – Surfaces

Thanks to hydrostatic technology KERN can manufacture surface that are normally not possible with milling technology. And this is not only possible with soft materials such as non-ferrous metals, but also in steel and in free form contours.

This technology greatly reduces the post polishing to a minimum. From the solid complex geometrical surfaces with absolute harmonious transitions and mirror surfaces can be machined.

With the combination of grinding (also jig or coordinate grinding) and high speed cutting in one clamping set up other manufacturing operations are no longer required.
